Congratulations on your PULSE assignment

Dear Narada,

Congratulations on your successful PULSE placement with PATH. You join a growing number of GSK employees who are contributing to this exciting volunteer partnership programme. You have been selected to represent our company – to be an ambassador of GSK – and to use your unique skills and talents to benefit our non-profit partners and the communities they serve.

The international development community is looking for people from all sectors and industries to work together in order to build common health-care solutions. This is your moment and opportunity to be part of this important undertaking. I hope that you will seize it. We have faith in your ability to successfully engage in your role and I want to personally thank you for having the courage to apply your talent and skill-sets for the advantage of others.

I am confident that your PULSE volunteer partnership will be an experience that you will never forget. Your service will not only benefit our NGO partners, but it will also benefit you - and, in turn, GSK - by accelerating and broadening your professional and personal development. We expect that you will bring back to GSK many new ideas and a fresh, external perspective.

While you are on your PULSE assignment, I want to ask you to do two things. Firstly, give the best that you can to deliver sustainable change to your partner organisation. Secondly, consider, reflect on, and capture your experiences, insights and ideas. Then share these with me, with the PULSE Programme Office, and with your home team once you come back to GSK. Your external learnings and fresh ideas will help GSK to overcome future challenges and will create new opportunities and value in our organisation.

Best of luck on your PULSE assignment,

Andrew
